WHAT IS FIXED BRIDGE?

Solution for multiple missing teeth

Our oral surgeons are dedicated to providing exceptional results for our patients who need a permanent solution for multiple missing teeth.

Roanoke Oral Surgery can improve your quality of life and your vibrant smile with a fixed bridge dental implants.

We understand the hassles of removable dentures: ill-fitting appliances, messy adhesives, and painful pinches. Our implant-supported bridges or overdentures can offer many benefits over traditional dentures. In this case, when replacing multiple teeth, a fixed bridge anchored to multiple dental implants is an excellent fixed alternative. Traditional dentures can't offer the same stability or function. You have the options of a permanent full bridge or smaller bridges that are attached to several dental implants, or a prosthesis that is securely attached to two or more dental implants but may be removed for easy cleaning and maintenance.  Unlike traditional methods, implant supported dentures do not require adhesives. With high-quality dental materials, cutting-edge techniques, and the most advanced technology, our oral surgeons can provide you with a mouthful of natural-looking teeth.

TIMELINE & PROCEDURE

For Dental Implant Placement

The treatment procedure and the number of visits are largely dependent on the specific conditions. Generally, the healing process for getting dental implants takes between three to six months and will vary from patient to patient. The overall treatment process from consultation to the final placement of the restoration will take roughly six to ten months, sometimes longer in certain circumstances. But all in all, 8-10 visits should be enough to have a fixed bridge installed. Most patients report that they were much more comfortable following the procedure than they had anticipated.

ALTERNATIVES TREATMENTS

To An All-Ceramic Crown On Implant
Removable Partial Denture

This is not a permanent alternative to a lost tooth. It is unstable and loosely attached, which affects both function and comfort. A removable partial denture is made of plastic – a material that can't create the same esthetic result as a ceramic crown. The benefits are few but do exist: adjacent teeth aren't affected. It is easily and quickly installed and relatively cheap.
