I sincerely want to thank each of you, especially Dr. Parulis, for an outstanding job you did. You're the best in the area, that is why I drive two and a half hours.

Dr. Parulis was my third opinion and he diagnosed my osteomyelitis immediately. He operated the same day trying to clean the infection from the jaw bone. Unfortunately, the infection had spread too far, later requiring the removal of my lower right jaw. After Carilion surgeons built a new jaw from my backbone, Dr. P was able to put in posts so that a bridge of teeth could be made. Thanks to him and his outstanding staff for their kindness and compassion. My life is back to normal.

My family’s first contact with Roanoke Oral Surgery and Dr. Margolis occurred because one of my daughters had a severe underbite and needed surgery to remove some bone from her lower jaw to correct the condition. Dr. Margolis was patient, thorough, and personable throughout the entire process, and this was quite reassuring to my daughter. He was always careful to explain the various steps and procedures, in addition to answering all our questions. My daughter had to spend one night in the hospital, and one of the nurses even commented positively on Dr. Margolis’ unassuming and friendly demeanor. This surgery was the culmination of several years of braces and other dental work in preparation for the surgery, and I am happy to say that it was a tremendous success! A few years later, I needed to have a dental implant and was referred to as Roanoke Oral Surgery by my oral surgeon. I was also lucky enough to be seen by Dr. Margolis and received the same high level of professional care. I had absolutely no problems (nor pain!) during the implant procedure, which seemed to proceed flawlessly to me. It has now been about a year, and I can also say that the implant has been a great success! In addition, the dental hygienists at Roanoke Oral Surgery were always professional and treated both my daughter and me with the utmost kindness and professionalism. They always seemed knowledgeable and highly skilled as well. The front desk staff is organized and friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Margolis and all the other wonderful staff at Roanoke Oral Surgery.

Danny was very unhappy with the poor condition of his teeth. Through guided surgery and the combined efforts of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Al Parulis, and Restorative Dentist, Dr. Scott Ward, Danny was able to walk out of the office after surgery with a new complete set of permanent upper and lower teeth (NO DENTURES!), all in one day!
